4 teams from Switzerland and Germany venture into the first blu26 Cup of the year. This year, the blu26 class starts together with the Regatta di Primavera in beautiful Lugano.

As "only" 4 blu26s had registered, the blu26 class started this year with the field of sports boats from the Regatta di Primavera. On Saturday afternoon, at a sunny 29°C, we hold two wonderful races in the middle of the magnificent landscape of Lago di Lugano, right in front of the picturesque Gandria. The wind conditions are perfect. Strong winds from the south and very steady and stable wind conditions. A fantastic start to the summer.

On the sunny Sunday afternoon, we find the same ideal wind conditions for our regatta and hold another three races directly in front of the beautiful scenery of Lugano.

During all five exciting races, Team Hazel with Mike, and his team remain the unbeaten winners, followed by Team BluStar with Thomas and his crew and the Primavera field. Team SOMA with Alex and his crew and the rookies on BluMoon under Benoit fight head-to head all weekend, with Alex ultimately emerging as the glorious leader.

We end the first Cup in 2024 with a delicious aperitif at Circolo Velico. What a way to start the season. Summer temperatures, strong winds, the beautiful, picturesque landscape of Lago di Lugano and of course the evening ambience in Lugano make the first regatta weekend this year a real highlight.
