Blu26 Cup in Zug 9.-10. May 2015
The start of the new season could not almost be better. The Yacht Club Zug welcomed us with an amazing event on their idyllic lake. The sailors came with big bags. They had to handle not just wind and rain but also hot sun and no breeze.
Already on Friday evening, three teams met for a little training session in rough and wet conditions. Thanks to Hannes Eugster for organizing.
On Saturday morning the last few boast were launched and at 11 o’clock, everybody came together for the first skipper briefing. The wind for the following two races came mainly out of one cloud. And therefore was over really fast. The last race had to be shorten at the second windward mark.
Sunday started really cozy. No wind at all in the morning. After a cup of coffee, the race officer Damian Weiss saw something coming up in the other part of the lake. So all the boats were hauled to Walchwil, where wonderful sailing conditions were waiting for us. Another four races were sailed in pretty cool conditions.
Winner of the Blu26 Cup Zug with two race wins Visby SUI 36 with Christian Scherrer. Pretty close in second place blutwo SUI 02 with Markus Bohren and third SUI 25 Hazel with Michael Klötzli.
