The blu26 class continues to ride the sailing season’s crest and visited Middelfart as a new destination for a potential European Open 2019. A fleet of ten well maintained blu26 boats is on site, managed by GoSail.

Participants from Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, and Argentina joined the event and mixed with local sailors from Denmark. The blu26 class looks back on an action-packed sailing weekend with the best wind conditions and beautiful sunny summer weather.

Keeping up an appealing regatta schedule including sailing events at distinct destinations is what makes the blu26 class so attractive. This year the class explored Middelfart, Denmark, where the fleet of ten blu’s benefits from a beautiful bay in a stunning nature reserve, offering reliable wind conditions. “The blu26 boats are agile, stable, fun and safe to sail”, says Søren Laugesen, CEO of GoSail, “this is why we chose this boat to successful cater for our corporate sailing events.”

Following perfect practice sailing on Friday afternoon, a warm welcome in the evening offered a great opportunity to get to know each other and connect. After a detailed briefing each morning, the teams were challenged with fifteen races across the two days. The racing was competitive and the teams were playing it out well against each other, but the on-water umpiring ensured that fair racing conditions at all times prevailed. Congratulations to Sailingcenter from Tegernsee who are taking the overall win home to Bavaria!
